Hummingbird Intercoms Pty Ltd operates the Humi service and uses the Humi and Humi Networks brands. References to “Humi”, “we”, “us” or “our” in the consumer App pages refer to this company unless a page clearly identifies another entity.

2. AUSTRAC registration

Hummingbird Intercoms Pty Ltd is registered on AUSTRAC’s Remittance Sector Register for remittance activities within the scope of that registration.

Registration is not an endorsement

Registration with AUSTRAC is not an approval, recommendation, guarantee or endorsement of Humi, the Humi App, a particular transfer or a customer outcome. It should not be read as a promise that a transfer will be accepted, completed by a particular time or recoverable after payment.

You can independently search the official AUSTRAC Remittance Sector Register using the legal name or ABN above.

Remittance providers have obligations relating to matters such as customer identification, transaction monitoring, reporting, record keeping and financial-crime risk. This is why Humi may verify identity, ask about a transfer or source of funds, delay or refuse an instruction, restrict an account, or retain specified records where permitted or required by law.

3. Consumer App scope

The first Humi consumer App release is intended for eligible individual customers using an Australian-dollar to Chinese-yuan transfer service. The usual flow is to:

  1. create an account and complete required identity checks;
  2. request and review a time-limited AUD to CNY quote;
  3. nominate an eligible recipient and confirm the instruction;
  4. fund the accepted transfer in AUD using the instructions shown; and
  5. follow processing and payout status in the App.

Downloading or registering for the App does not guarantee eligibility or access to a transfer. Availability is subject to Humi’s checks, supported recipient and funding arrangements, provider availability and the Humi App Consumer Terms.

4. Business services are separate

Humi also publishes information about business payment, collection and Spot FX workflows. Those services can have different eligibility criteria, contracting arrangements, fees and terms. The Website and Business Platform Terms and Spot FX Product Terms do not replace the consumer App terms, and the consumer App terms do not replace a business customer agreement.

5. Service providers and payment chain

Humi may use banks, payment and payout providers, identity-verification services, fraud and sanctions-screening services, communications providers, hosting services and other suppliers to provide or support a service. A supplier’s involvement does not change Humi’s published support contact for the Humi App.

Provider controls, bank processing, recipient information, clearing arrangements, local requirements and public holidays can affect availability and timing. Processing estimates are not guarantees. See Fees, Rates and Transfer Information and the consumer terms before confirming a transfer.

6. Limits of regulatory statements

This page makes only the company and registration statement expressly set out above. No additional licence, approval, external-dispute membership, government backing or customer-protection status should be inferred from the Humi name, website, App Store or Google Play listing, a service-provider relationship, or the availability of a product.

If a particular service requires an additional product-specific disclosure, Humi will provide that disclosure in the relevant terms, quote or customer communication. Nothing on this page excludes a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Information is not personal advice

Website and App information is general service information. A Humi quote is an offer of transaction terms for the time shown; it is not personal financial, tax or legal advice and does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs. Consider whether a transfer is suitable for you and obtain independent advice where appropriate.

8. Questions, corrections and complaints

For a question about these disclosures, submit the Humi Support form or email compliance@humi.au. If you believe information on this page is inaccurate, include the page address and the information you want us to review.

You can raise dissatisfaction through Humi’s free Complaints and Disputes process. Where an external review avenue applies to a complaint, Humi will identify it in the complaint response.
