1. Scope of this information

This page explains the quote, fee, exchange-rate and timing information shown for the first consumer release of the Humi App: eligible transfers funded in Australian dollars (AUD) for payment to an eligible recipient in Chinese yuan (CNY). Different Humi business services have separate terms and pricing.

The quote screen is the source of truth for a transfer

Review every figure before confirming. A previous quote, website example or market rate is not a promise that the same fee or exchange rate will be available for a new transfer.

2. Quote range

When quote functionality is enabled, the minimum and maximum AUD amounts displayed by the App at the time of your request apply to that request. Eligibility, account status, compliance controls, available liquidity, partner limits and recipient details may result in a lower limit or make a quote unavailable.

Breaking a larger intended transfer into several smaller transfers does not avoid Humi’s account, transaction, legal or compliance limits. Related transfers may be reviewed together.

3. What the App shows before confirmation

Before you confirm a transfer, the quote screen shows the key pricing information for that instruction:

  • the AUD transfer amount you entered;
  • the Humi service fee in AUD;
  • the quoted AUD to CNY exchange rate;
  • the expected CNY amount calculated using that quote; and
  • when the quote expires.

Read the quote together with the recipient details and funding instructions. Do not confirm unless the amounts, rate, fee, recipient and other information are correct.

4. Service fee

The applicable Humi service fee is calculated for the individual quote and displayed in AUD before confirmation. The exact amount displayed on the quote screen applies if you accept that quote while it remains valid. Humi may change its pricing for future quotes, but a changed price requires a new quote and your confirmation.

The AUD amount shown is the total amount you must fund. The displayed Humi fee is deducted from that amount before the remaining AUD amount is converted at the quoted exchange rate. The App shows the resulting expected CNY amount before you confirm.

Your bank, the recipient’s institution or another organisation outside Humi may impose a fee or currency-conversion charge under its own terms. Humi does not control those external charges. Any charge included by Humi in its own quote is shown before you confirm.

5. Exchange rate

The displayed exchange rate is the Humi transaction rate offered for that particular quote. It can change as currency markets, liquidity and provider pricing change, and it may differ from an indicative rate shown by a search engine, news service, central bank or another provider. An indicative or “mid-market” rate is not necessarily a rate available for an actual consumer transfer.

The expected CNY amount is calculated using the quoted rate and the information shown in the App. If a quote expires or Humi cannot proceed on that quote, you will need to request and review a new quote; the rate, fee and expected CNY amount may be different.

6. Quote validity

A Humi App quote is normally valid for 15 minutes from the time it is created. The App displays the expiry time. Confirming, funding or attempting to use the quote after expiry does not preserve it. Request a fresh quote and review every figure again.

A valid quote is not a guarantee that Humi can complete the transfer. A transfer remains subject to successful funding, identity and compliance checks, accurate recipient information, service availability, partner acceptance and the Humi App Consumer Terms.

7. Funding the transfer

Use only the AUD funding instructions, amount and reference displayed for the accepted transfer in the App. Funding the wrong amount, using an incorrect reference, sending funds from an unsupported source, or sending funds after the allowed time can cause delay, manual review, rejection or return.

Do not send additional money because someone contacts you unexpectedly and claims a transfer must be “unlocked”, “verified” or moved to a “safe account”. Follow the steps on our Security and Scam Help page if a request appears suspicious.

8. Transfer estimates are not guarantees

The App may show an estimated processing or arrival time. An estimate is not a guaranteed delivery deadline. Timing can be affected by when cleared AUD funding is received, compliance review, information requests, recipient details, bank and payout-provider processing, cut-off times, weekends, public holidays, outages, currency availability, and events outside Humi’s reasonable control.

Follow the status in the App. If the transfer is delayed, failed, cancelled or returned, Humi will provide the available status information and explain any next step. Recovery or cancellation may not be possible after funds have been irrevocably sent or paid.

9. Questions, errors and disputes

If a figure looks wrong, do not confirm the quote. Submit a “Quote, fee or exchange rate” request through the Humi Support form or email support@humi.au.

If you believe a fee, rate or transfer outcome was not handled as disclosed, you can make a free complaint through our Complaints and Disputes process.
